Pets, especially cats and dogs, can shed a lot of hair daily. Due to this, much pet hair can accumulate in your home over time. Robot vacuum cleaners can solve this problem by doing a regular pass every day, thereby saving you from having to bring out your big and bulky regular vacuum.

These devices are automatic, and they have smart features that let them figure out where they can and cannot go. In this article, we test and review some of the best robot vacuum cleaners on the market for pet hair. Take a look!

What You Should Consider When Buying a Robot Vacuum Cleaner for Pet Hair

Cleaning efficiency

The best robot vacuum cleaners for pet hair should effectively clean every particle of hair, dirt, and bacteria. Pet hair is very likely to get stuck on the brush of a vacuum cleaner. To prevent this from happening, look for a vacuum cleaner that has brushes that don’t tangle easily.

Suction Power

In this article, we focus on vacuum cleaners with higher suction power. A suction power of over 1000 pa is considered good for removing most dust particles.

Some robot vacuum cleaners below have a maximum suction power of 2000 pa, making them very powerful in comparison. If you have a high pile carpet just like me, then you can go for a vacuum cleaner with a suction power of more than 1500 pa.

Smart features

Since all the vacuum cleaners listed below are robot vacuum cleaners, they also have some innovative or smart features. Anti-collision features and sensors prevent vacuum cleaners from colliding with obstacles. Then there are navigation systems that help these vacuum cleaners to navigate past obstacles without difficulty.

disposing dirt from robot vacuum

Final Thoughts

I felt that the Sharp vacuum is the best robot vacuum for homes with pets due to its innovative docking station, which allows it to collect hair and dirt on its own every day and requires the pet owner to only clean it out once in 30 days. If you are a Roomba fan, the 694 is a super-efficient option at a low price. If you are deadset on buying cheap, Lefant M210 may be the best option for you.

Finally, whilst robot vacuums are a great help, pet-owners shouldn’t solely rely on them to keep your house clean. Be sure to check out our reviews of the best canister vacuums for pet hair too.
